Rome Total War

This is the first game I would like to discuss as far as game play graphics and what I like to call fun factor. RTW was truly the first of it's kind in strategy games. On RTW's release no other strategy game came close to matching the jaw dropping graphics and epic size battles. Rome Total War was a gift from the war Gods above! If you ever wondered what it would be like to actually build the greatest empire in our history RTW was your tool. From the beautiful campaign map to the classical music RTW allows you to immerse yourself in a time long ago but not forgotten. The realistic battles were a joy to command and given the size challenging as well. Thank God for the pause button in battles. You could play as any one of the three roman houses. Taking orders from the senate and working with the other roman houses to conquer the world. Or if you were up for a real challenge you could play as one of Rome's many strong rivals. I personally liked playing the Greeks for they had the awesome SPARTANS! The original game version Spartans were not to my liking but after searching the web I found a mod patch. There are many patches for the game and many mods allowing for endless game play. Trust me you will never get bored of this game and in later post I will discuss the best mods for Rome Total War. If you have what it takes to be Ceaser than buy Rome Total War and let the battles begin!!
